CRAFT Inefficiency...

We drink a lot in CRAFT (see Figure 1), and since we can't use the CRAFT toilets (see Figure 2), we have to use the toilets outside.

It takes one minute to go to the nearest toilet, and one minute back. This means that effectively, every time a CRAFT member needs to use the toilet, they have to lose 2 minutes. So?

So... There are usually around 20 people in CRAFT on any given day. And on average each person goes to the toilet 2.5 times each day (the 0.5 is because of me) . 2.5 * 2 min * 20 people = 100 minutes / day. Over about 215 days of work per year: that makes 385 hours lost each year!

Now look at our salaries, the lowest earning long-term CRAFT members (PhD students :( ) are paid about 18.5 CHF per hour...

So basically, just having this poster on the toilet in CRAFT is costing 6630.- CHF every year!

Just think of how many aperos we could have with this money! Or better yet, if we were to use all the money on a single apero, think of how cool that apero would be!!

A photo dedicated to Gaelle

Maybe there is no point to post this photo here, maybe its not very relevant either. but Well I post it for Gaelle !

I like the name "Mère courage". I would like to call Gaelle Mere courage. Why ? because it's like that. Why do we call Khaled "Khebab" ? because its the way it is ! It's the natural flow of things on earth !

Vitamin C Flush

In order to determine the maximum level of vitamin C I can consume per day, Robert Cathcart suggested a protocol known as a "vitamin C flush" wherein increasing doses of vitamin C, up to 200 grams per day (i.e. 11,000 of my vitamin C tablets (1 tablet every 7.7 seconds)) are given until diarrhea develops, then choosing the highest dose that does not cause diarrhea.

He has reported clinical successes using massive vitamin C in treating influenza, hepatitis, mononucleosis, bacterial infection, yeast infections, stress, for recovery from burns, surgery and back pain. He also reports success treating herpes, arthritis and scarlet fever. He advocates massive vitamin C as potential treatments for avian flu, ebola virus, polio, irritable bowel syndrome, West Nile virus, Santa Clara flu, encephalitis, SARS, hemorrhagic fever, and cancer.

I decided that I would post a message every Wednesday...
I had to wait until almost 6 o'clock pm to find something containing enough bullshit to be worth to be posted... Let's talk about Khaled annoyance !

Khaled asked an unusefull question and I answered as well as I could. But then he started complaining about my semantic.
I told him that if he was going to be so annoying, next time, I would not answer his question. Then he said that he would complain if I wouldn't answer his question, and that he wouldn't need to be annoying if his question would be answered correctly at first...

AIN'T THAT BULLSHIT ????

The world according to Khebab

Everyone needs Vitamin C

Duality

There's no surprise that it takes two to write a paper on Dual-T. Maybe if I called my project Tetra-Table, I wouldn't have to write my papers by myself.

I guess I have to tell you...

I wanted to keep that secret.. but now it's on the news so.. I have to pleasure to annonce you my active participation to the Geneva political life..

I'll do my best..

"Well you know what today is? It's Wednesday, anything can happen day"
That's why I like Wednesday... you'll get chocolate if you can find where it comes from ! (but don't cheat with Google !)

RE: Research means Vitamin C

Research does NOT mean Vitamin C... Because, unlike Vitamin C, too much research can actually kill you.

Philosophy of the chocolate mousse

Khebab and I have a great dilema about the way to eat chocolate mousse...
In our opinion it is always more satisfying to eat big spoonfull of chocolate mousse, to feel the texture filling your mouth and the taste bursting on your tongue. But, as we are all aware of this sad reality, the portions of chocolate mousse are usually quite small and then you're finished after the third spoon.
Then, would it be better to eat small spoons of chocolate mousse to have it lasting longer, to taste it slowly and then being able to enjoy the chocolate mousse a bit longer ?
Well... we never know who might come and steal your chocolate mousse away from you, so its probably better to eat it quickly and then, if you feel unsatisfied by the small amount you had, you can have another one !!!
By the way, the problem is the same with fresh orange juice... Anything else ?
